Mini Review : Ram-Leela

Well I just don't know what Ram-Leela have to do with Shakespears' Romeo & Juliet. Some people just keep on complaining that they should go back to high school and study literature back. Guess it's too much. And after all I can't say love is not the perfect word to match for this film. But I will definitely give lots of LOVE to Deepika's raw performance. The end scene actually signifies that Deepika Padukone's grand rise of the year. She just keep on proving that she's not only a pretty face actress but also super talented and something more than a boxoffice queen. Ranveer Singh shines in the moments right after the interval however pre-interval was was annoying. And in major scenes I think he over react. He needs to master the art of tuning down the energy before everything goes wrong with him. After all Bhanshali's music is rich as his is films visual appeal. But sadly he didn't realise that sometimes a song is burdensome on the screenplay. Ishqyaun Dhishqyaun was completely an unwanted song for this movie. It just bring us back to Salman or Govinda's 90's movies. Dialogues penned by Siddharth and Garima at times worked and at times seem to be forced. Over all I expected Goliyon Ki Raasleela- RamLeela to be an extraordinary film of the year, but unfortunately it's just an ordinary film after all. 

The Best of Indian Cinema in 2013

As the year coming to an end, it's time to talk about the best.. Well there is one blog of my friends' one who talks about worst. So here I will write about the best of Best. Maybe sometimes you will feel some of the best as worst.. But this best is my best. Which I categorized as the BEST in 2013.

Best Comeback

Well her comeback was the best one for me and I guess also for all. All other heroines need to learn lots and lots of things and values from her. Right after Sri Rama Rajyam, she announced that she will retire from cinema and happily settle in the marriage life with Choreographer/Actor/Director Prabhu Deva. But fortunately or unfortunately something goes wrong in that, and well that's her personal so we shouldn't discuss about it. This year she made with two smashing big hits. One with Ultimatestar Ajith Kumar in Arrambam and another with the dude Arya in Raja Rani. Both these movies made her as a leading actress back in Tamil. And I'll surely say this is the best of Nayanthara's year. And I dare say no one can be like her. Thank you Nayan for keep on inspiring us.

Best Item Song

This is now getting better and better than ever. Right after my own Kannadiga girls like Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Deepika Padukone now it's Ragini Dwivedi's time to rock in the bollywood. This baby girl just took a step into bolly cinema with an item song Kaddu Katega from R..Rajkumar. But soon she will be a leading lady there. Those who don't know her talent, watch her Kannada movies like Kempegowda and other few movies. Now she have given an entry into Tamil too with Jayam Ravi in Nimirndhu Nil. Way to go Ragz.. 

Best Album of the Year

This year after the entry of the little dude Anirudh, music is getting to better place I think. Anirudh was introduced by Dhanush in his movie 3. Since then on, this fellow has tied all of us with his cute cute and hot hot music. In 2012 he has given two big hits. 3 and Ethirneechal. And this year it's Vanakam Chennai. You still don't know him, listen to Why this kolaveri di and Chicken Dance :) 

Best Supporting Role/Guest Appearance 

This two guest role peoples are personally my favourite twos'.. Rahul Ravindran in Vanakam Chennai after the second half was an awesome intro actually. And I think personally he have took many girls heart. But not mine. He is my favourite girl's favourite man now.. :) And Rana Daggubati's few minutes guest role made me to cry. THank for doing that to me Rana. Well for the Tamilians who don't know about Rana, he's a leading hero in telugu and he have done a  hindi movie too. Check out the movie called Department. And Rana please do more Tamil movies.

Best Actor

Dhanush in Mariyaan was flawless. Currently he is enjoying the success hit of Mariyaan and his hindi movie Raanjhana. And there was another news for all Dhanush fans that he already signed his second hindi movie opposite Akshara Haasan and Amitabh Bhachchan. Dhanush has created his own identity since Addukalam, for which he won the National Award actually. And he truly deserve it. And my second best actor is our King Khan. This year with his blockbuster express, Chennai Express, he was too cute. Yes his reactions and the dance movements and all. Whenever he says Meenamma, hahaha. He sounds too funny actually. Remember the scene where Deepika will kick him off from her bed. OMG. He's just the best King Khan ever.

Best Actress

This year with Yeh jawaani Hai Diwaani, Chennai Express, Race 2 and finally the year end movie Ram Leela, Deepika took my heart away from me. In this recent years no one have made me awwwe with such performance. But Deepika as Meenamma, Naina, Leela, and Elena, is flawless. Omg god. I can't wait to see her as Vadhana Devi opposite Super Star Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan on April 10th. oppps.. I revealed the secret I guess.. haha.. She was flawless.. Totally. She rules the cinema world now. More to come on your way girl.

Mariyaan means immortal and Director Bharath has shown two immortal things in this movie. One is Mariyaan and another is his love. Marc Koninckx's visuals are poetic and out of this world as he has fully exploited the wide visual canvas that Bharath Bala has offered him. AR.Rahman has used the tunes of magical in Yenge Pona Raasa and Kadal Raasa Naan, prominently as part of the movie's background score and this will resonate in your heart. His songs for the movie need no further mention but their visual treatments is mostly similar due to the repetitive situations and its surrounding.

2014 is only a week away, and that means , it's a good time to start a fresh. For our South Indian Cinema stars, this means they get to put the past behind them - flop movies, controversies and all other things they'd prefer to forget. Post X15 - Hansa I

Okay. Finally the final stage is already arrived. All three projects came in the same month and this sounds a lot of scary and nerve wrecking thing actually. So made up a decision on dropping one project down this time and take it up on the next semester. I know well, I can't do it at all with all my full concentration. And moreover I know what my life is actually meant to be and the reason for my birth. So I need to succeed in that rather than doing all these in the same time but gain nothing. Well about my accounts project, it'll be the easy one.. Nothing much on that topic.

But my second one is all about Bharathanatyam and Contemporary Dance. And again it will be titled as The Hansa. Dancing Swan. Will be done publicly and off coarse I need each and everyone of your peoples help. Videos, Paper works and research works all will be publish over here in my blog. And there will be a form create by tonight for you guys to fill it out. Just an easy one only. And tonight will post the link. 

Mahadev Tho Dance

Mondays always blue for me.. No no.. Not that blue from your verdict. Mine is HAPPY. But this Monday is more special blue. Because was dancing all myself with my God in mind and heart. The God who resembles for dance, the God who resembles for Fire, the god who resembles to destroyer of the evil. And the god who blessed me with dance. The dance he loves. The dance that he dance whenever he is happy. The dance that he dance whenever he gets to the top of anger. I will simply say he is the Lord. He is the God for all the gods. Devon Ki Dev Mahadev.. You don't know how much deeper my love for him. Mahadev always the special one for me. In all way.. he didn't denied any of my requests and nor I didn't betrayed him. But sometimes I'll get angry with him, for not listening to him. But that's okay. I should give him sometime to listen to his other devotees too. I know he is always there for me. Well let's try to get back or get out to the topic again.

Oh well. I'm getting mad. Should stop it over here, or should blog about it in more detail. Maybe next time.

Importance

Sometimes Life teaches us many things. I continue to learn and I'm still learning. I find there is no limit for learning anything new. I can count with my both hands and off coarse with a few toes the number of people who have contributed with well-wish and prayers for me to be who I am now at this second.

Today I happened to talk about relatives and how suddenly I remember the super distant family circles that I have no idea about how they are actually related to me and how should I call them. Which means, you need to grow up with these peoples to know how exactly they are related to you and how.

But then today somehow I managed to meet with one of my uncle, whom I never seen him since I was born. But I know the way how he related to me. How come I know the way but don't know who is he actually?? Okay now. That will be the first mistake being done by all parents who are having or had a misunderstanding with their close or long distance relatives.

You are making your child to not know what's the real of  his/her root. Wait!! I know my root and my mom has taught me that. But not all parent do the same as my parents done to me and my siblings. Now there might be a question started to roam around your little brain and again wait!!! I know my root and I know he is my uncle (mama) and I know how exactly he's related to me. I just didn't see his face once from the first day I came to this world. And that once happened today. So no more questions will start to roam in your little mind I reckon.

For me I guess every Indian child in this universe should know their root, where they actually hail from, and off coarse their caste too. But just don't make it as a issue and a social mistake by using the word caste. After all there is only one caste. "Human caste". The reason you need to teach your kids is, one they shouldn't feel like lost or something else infront of the one who knows all about themselve.

It seems like I have been personally avoiding this blog either thinking of it because so much of WHAT IT IS.. But somehow it's still a part of me . So writig this year was extremely been a difficult task for me because who I was actually turned into a busy monster. :P

To say that the past year is difficult, it's actually an understatement. I have a day where all day I can sit down and listen to songs and composed both Bharathanatyam or Contemporary. But lots of thimgs changed in this year. What now I wants to say is " I NEED A BREAK"..

And probably I have lost many things which I love, even my privacy sometimes. But with someones comeback it's all been sorted out. WELL! I guess this all happen due to my luck. Did I ever tell you, how much I counted on luck. Even for one small shitty things also, my luck will change it.. Sometimes to good or even sometimes from shitty to horrendous.

Yesterday I dug up this blog and got to know there are few little cute posts over here. And thought how much I miss writing again. Okay I guess it's time to stop my anologies.

I don't know what this post is meant for. I just know I had to get it out. Like everything else, It is better to be shared. Right?

Dance is What all I NEED!

At last managed to secure a part time job.. But still I'm missing my books and dance and singing and a lot more... But for the good things to happen now, I need earn some money for my ownself. Or else I know what the next scene in my life will be. No directors can dare to shot a scene like that, I bet. But god will do it, and I, Rubini need to play the role without any default. But my MAHADEV knows what good for me.. Just for a 6 months or more than that also just a year.. After that I'm totally not belong to the place where I am right now.  For me dance is everything. WHATEVER I study also, dance is the best studies, and job for me... I know my capacity is more than this dance.. But dance is the best thing happened in my life since my childhood days,, Been learning is since I was a 1+ years old baby. This is the first best thing that MAHADEV had done for me. And still doing for me.. Oh okay.. This blog is viewable for public.. Maybe I should stop from here.. Not more than this.. :) :) And seems like this year I have blogged very less.. hmm.. Well let's wait for the 2014.. Will blog more ... On more things.. PROMISE! :)

So finally I have came up with a very very tremendous decision I reckon.. Yes. I'm not going to tell that I'm a fan of him after this. His certain behaviours totally made me and some peoples who closely watches him in all his new ventures and endorsements not going to say it at all.. But wait I don't care about others.. It's all just about me, myself and he, himself.. Been following him since the first day I joined in twitter but since the beginning of this year his behaviours is not like the person that I have known since 2001. He changed.. Totally transformed.. In New York now.. Practising for Shiv Tandavam for the opening of International Bharathanatyam conference... This is the second time I'm performing after 2010 conference. Feel so blessed. Shall blog about all my practise session and NYC trip actually. Will do it in two days time. 

Mariyaan

Usually you can't judge a film by it's leading actor but in Dhanush case you can easily say, WOW! After giving a smashing hit in B-Town with Raanjhana, finally we manage to watch him back in our own southie film after more than a year. Dhanush is actually a versatile actor who suits for all kind of character, You can see him as a school boy, then a college boy, lately a good parents boy, lover boy, a sentimental villager, and another character is just like what he did in Aadukalam which earns him too many awards including National award too. And after all a psycho who can kill himself. He always live as the character. And as for Dhanush's Mariyaan is no different. He lives and breathe as the character of an immortal fisherman.

Mariyaan deals with the story of construction fisherman who have a close bond towards the sea, as it is the place where he earns his livelihoods. He calls himself as "Kadal Rasa" which means the "Prince of Ocean". Circumstances surrounding his lady love Parvathy Menon (Panimalar) played a role of a model wife who forces him to go to Sudan.  Her performance makes you stunned. Usually Dhanush movies all known as a One man SHOW. But in Mariyaan, it's different. Parvathy's character turns out to be the strongest one in the end. For the suffering scenes for Dhanush, it's not a new one for him. As he has done many as this before.

India at 67!

This is the very very first year I'm blogging on August 15 and especially on the Independence Day of India. I'm not an Indian citizen, but every Indians from the universe are somehow by root belongs to India. And by that way I consider myself as a Proud Indian who never born in India but loves India so much. Today morning I woke up, ready to rant on about what a proud nation we are. Independent,,, modern,,, and savvy. So why is it then, suddenly I found myself lost in more negative comments from the locals and those who lives abroad. Some call our independence just an "Illusion", while some other question what is the point of our INDEPENDENCE actually? Today is the day where we are supposed to remember the teachings of Gandhi. But what do we really have to remember? That we are independent of a country that ruled over us for years before we finally kicked them out? But over 60 years later, are we really independent? Till date, we hear of stories of the female infanticide, dowry, corruption,  and even caste discrimination. Not really independent from our mentality and thinking.

The word INDEPENDENCE is totally taken for granted. Physical independence was the initial problem. And so through brave hearts like Gandhiji and Nehruji, we drove out the British. That act in itself was a foundation for what we should have followed. However here we are at 66 years later, still reeling in issues that are rather sticky. Ultimately the problem is very simple : Lack of EDUCATION.

There is a huge difference. But it's fair to blame all the above issues on the uneducated?? As an educated Indians, we too have a responsibility towards our country. The first of course is so simple. VOTE. The illiterate don't know the differences between their politicians. They are hungry for anything, and thus they will place their vote in those who provide them with empty promises. Every five years ones a metrovoter chooses not to go out and vote. By that you're actually allowing one more corrupt politician to gain another illiterate vote.

Todays' youth have a responsibility to get involved. it's your country, your future. if you're sick of the system, then get and do something rather than just sitting in your sofa, drinking a cup of chaiy and commenting on the ministers who are filling their pockets. And if you're told you don't know what you're talking about, you're still a kid, et all that jazz, then instead of shrugging and walking away, take a stand. The power of youth shouldn't be underestimated.

Look to say we are not an independent strong nation is totally false. This is one of the reasons we are attacked by terrorists regularly. They fear the pace at which we're progressing. But this is not a reason to back down. In fact, now more than ever, we need to get it together. Now this is the time. Our freedom fighters say, " This is not the India we fought for." It's now time to make it that India.

Jai Hind... I am and will always be a proud Indian.

Rasberry barss..

I love a good dessert bar recipe.. My best friend's mother used to make them all the time during high school days, and now they have become my coffee shop indulgences. Rasberry bars are perfectly salty sweet with a shortbread crust and rich Rasberry jam. The addition of granola and almonds on top gives the perfect amount of texture and crunch... The recipe is pretty simple..

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 cups flaked coconut, divided
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 1 jar (12 ounces) raspberry preserves
• 1 cup white baking chips

Direction

• In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in 1-1/4 cups coconut and the walnuts.
• Press three-fourths of the dough into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Spread with preserves. Sprinkle with chips and remaining coconut. Crumble remaining dough over the top; press lightly.
• Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yield: 3 dozen.

I've been running around all day... My eyes will cross from the sheer confusion. I expect it. Waiting for it.. My fingers have typed and clicked... My feet have scurried and shuffled... A Change is Needed!

150 Words Review : Raanjhanaa

Raanjhanaa -- Ppaaahh.. The best love story, I have ever watched in Bollywood films in this recent years. I think this will be the first ever Hindi movie that not shot abroad, but in Benaras!! Most stunning and out-standing performance done by the National award winner actor Dhanush. And somehow he manage to prove that movies can actually made with ordinary mens. No need six pack, fair skin and builder body. Finally he had done much better work that other South heroes who have tried their hand in B-Town films. Swaraa and Zeeshan are out-standing.. It's RAANJHANAA.. my dear brother, favourite actor, awesome singer, after all a good hearted and humble person Dhanush's first Hindi movie. How can I close my eyes and sleep.. Not only that but it's his second son Linga Dhanush's 3rd year birthday too.. Which means its a celebration actually.. Well for now I'm to excited to type anything.. 150 Words Review : Udhayam NH4

Udhayam NH4 (Tamil) & NH4 Bangalore-Chennai (Telugu)

Finally the movie that I have waited for such a long time is released a week ago. And this is the kind of story that I always wants Siddharth to do or dream. Finally somehow he grabbed it already. Action-Thriller-Love..

Udhayam NH4 set largely at Bangalore. The first half moves within a very beautiful flash back and the present. Here the hero Prabhu who comes from a middle class family from Tamil Nadu, who came to Bangalore to pursue his engineering. And a Bangalore based girl Ritika ( Ashrita Shetty ) . She's the daughter of Karnataka chief minister and gets kidnapped by Prabhu and his friends.

Review :

There is a humour in the film. The thrilling car race sequence and stunt scenes. Siddharth and Kay Kay Menon have come out with flying colors. *the thing I expected for,, yayyiiee* The action sequence truly need to be praised. Ashrita Shetty is good and appears to be a promising actress. There are few minor errors which can be ignored but poor dubbing work especially for Siddharth lip synchronization. Velraj's cinematography is excellent. GVP's music and background scores are awesome and lovely. And Kishore's editing is good. UDHAYAM NH4 is totally worth to watch.

It's almost been 5 minutes or maybe more than that I opened this blank page. But still my mind is running blank and I have no idea to write what at all. Well this might occur just because I'm going thru some problem which is actually not a right place to share over here.  But peoples who are close to me and in contact with me in Viber et all other messaging apps, they knew. Well.. yeah let's think about something different. Should I write about this Hospital or their food?? It's a cheesy hospital actually. They always fed me with orange, chocolate, red velvet cheese cakes, and they are so "yummicious"... 150 Words Review : Gundello Godari

The highly talked and the most awaited Lakshmi Manchu's Gundello Godari finally on theatre List Board now. Which means it's released.

Gundello Godari a romance drama set at the backdrop of 1986 Godavari flood. GG opens with a heavy rainfall and the movie soon goes to a flash back. Which reveals the love story between Aadhi and Taapsee in the first half. Despite not having comedy, the movie is quite interesting.  The second half head to reveals the the romance between Sundeep and Lakshmi Manchu in the first 30 minutes, which seems to be slow and quite dragging at times. The the film shift back to the flooding scene. The climax was extraordinary and the camera and the CGI works and the background score in it are superb awesome and it was a visual treat to all.

Overall this film deserve all its success.

hehehe.. yes yes.. I watched 2 Kannada movies.. And this weekend I'm going to go to Singapore to get my favourite Sudeep sir's Kempegowda movie. No matter ever I have watched it more than 50+ times in Tamil. But I still wanna watch it in Kannada just for Sudeep sir. Well don't try to search on net now what's Kempegowda in Tamil means.. lol.. you will get a different translation than.. tee hee.. It's Surya's SINGAM. And the two Kannada movies I watched on last weekend was Katari Veera Sura Sundrangi and Vishnuvardhana..

I can accept Vishnuvardhana with all my love. But seriously not that KVSS!! I watched KVSS just for Divya and Ambii uncle.. But ended up with some horrendous fight between me and my brother. lol... But it's not a big deal right?! But Vishnuvardhana,,, oh my god!!! Its hillarious awesome movie.. Too fun.. After Eega, I'm watching Sudeep sir's movie in his ...... ermmmm ... no ... in our own language Kannada.. Yes!! My mother tongue is Kannada. But I don't know any single word in that language till last Thursday.. It's a total transformation SS Rajamouli sir has done to Sudeep sir in Eega.. So.... I'm now Kiccha Sudeep's lovely fan. He is a truly truly a "KARNATAKA KING" Love you Sudeep sir...
